Lipped Ink, The Poetry Cafe / Poetry Society 16 Apr 2016

I performed at Lipped Ink on Saturday. It was MC'd by Mark "Mr.T" Thompson, and his lovely wife. He performed a poem to kick off and then left it open to all those who who has signed up for the open mic. The basement was full and there were a series of provocative poems read, covering slavery, racism, politics and of course love and sex. I performed two poems in the second half. The headline poet was Deanna Roger.
